Customer Reviews

I actually installed it today and windows7 detected the card with no problem. Most likely this is the best deal.
The price is great and the card works great so far. Device drivers was easy to install and ran "update device drivers" with no problem in the properties.
As a note. The card is backwards compatible with wireless b and g. However it only takes wireless N at 2.4GHz NOT 5GHz.
Why this could be a big deal and not a big deal?
The problem it may cause is that a lot of routers are given the choice to broadcast wireless N on a different signal such as 5GHz because not all current devices are wireless N compatible. So wireless G would then be broadcasted on 2.4GHz.
Maybe not such a big deal because Signal levels at 5GHz are horrible. If you want the most out of wireless N you should make sure it is broadcasted at 2.4GHz.
Why is 5GHz so horrible? because the higher the frequency the closer it becomes to "light" the lower the frequency the closer it is to "Sound". "Light" has a hard time traveling through walls compared to "Sound".
From my experience wireless N broadcasted at 5GHz is not even worth the wireless N experience. So make sure your wireless N service is broadcasted at 2.4GHz before purchasing this card.

The delivery of the product was exceptional! The product in general is not very good as I have had many problems with it. I have installed the card on both a Windows 7 32-bit and Windows 7 64-bit computers. I made sure I used drivers from the manufactures website to make sure I had the most up-to-date drivers possible. In both systems the link between the card and the router would drop every minute to two minutes and then reconnect itself. Also, the speed never reached 300Mbps connection speed but only 150Mbps. The router sites about 40 feet roughly from the computer and no interference (walls) between the two. The only thing that has seemed to help slightly but still has not resolved this issue completely is having the latest Microsoft Windows Updates installed. I would not recommend this product since you could spend $10 to $20 more and get a better product that is known to work perfectly with these two OS's.
